I've been making this forever, but I decided to modify it to cut calories, and to cut carbs down.
Miracle Noodles are awesome with this recipe.
Beef Stroganoff
12 oz round steak (can also work with chicken, lean burger or roast)
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained well
8oz breakstone or borden's sour cream
2 cans campbell's cream of mushroom soup
I use enough water to turn it into 8-10 servings
Cut steak in piece, cook steak, I use butter. Add mushrooms to steak, heat well. Add soup, and approximately one soup can of water to start. After mixture is heated through, blend in sour cream.
Hear well, should be bubbling but stir often so it doesn't burn.
I serve over prepared and heated miracle noodles. Miracle Noodles absorb the taste.
To taste, you may want to add:
more sour cream or another 1/2 can soup.
any spices you like, for example Mrs. dash.
It's great over paste, egg noodles or thick slices of garlic bread. None of which I use. I'm a low carb follower.
